Project specifications: Yas tower is a 70000 m2 official and commercial tower soaring 34 floors of height right at the emerging high-class commercial and official city center, “Janbaz Square”, where other high-rise buildings of the international trading center, well-known shopping centers, and office buildings are building up a totally new modern skylight for the city.
Solution: Yas tower stands amongst the greatest construction projects in Mashhad and is the highest-rise building in the city. The tower, upon completion, surely becomes a new landmark for the city as it is located on an strategic economic node of Mashshad – Janbaz Square. Similar to other significant large-scale projects supported by Yekta Tadbir Modern, Yas Tower had comfort of the dwellers, ease and simplicity in commissioning and maintenace phase, simplicity and robustness, and permanent balance of the HVAC system as substantial criteria. Thus we put forward the ultimate solution that simultaneously satisfies all the mentioned points, i.e. utilizing pressure independent control valves (PICV) at terminal units in conjunction with manual balancing valves at risers and main branches – in that the latter provides high precision and simplicity in measuring differential pressure and fluid flow in commissioning and troubleshootin of the system. We have provided a total of 766 pcs Frese OPTIMA Compact pressure independent balancing and control valves (PIBCV) as well as 19 pcs of manual balancing valves (FRESE STBV FODRV) for this project. It is notable that a 4-pipe HVAC system with single-coil fancoil units was planned for the building, therefore, we suggested the world-standard solution for such system, that is, utilizng 6-way valves near each fancoil unit for mode switching between heating and cooling. 473 pcs. of Giacomini 6-way valves were provided and installed in the building.
